CINEMA ODEON, Lisbon, Portugal, 1927, was closed and put up for sale some years ago. The Odeon is Lisbon’s last movie theatre from that glorious period. It has marvelous details: stage sculptures, Brazilian wood ceiling, balconies (two, and a suspending one), metallic facade, opening ceiling, ceiling lamp, etc. During almost 70 years people went there to watch pictures. There is the possibility of demolition, in spite of the existence of a group of people fighting for his preservation. 2004
