D. Afonso II de Portugal (cognominado O Gordo, O Crasso ou O Gafo, em virtude da doença que o teria afectado; Coimbra, 23 de Abril de 1185 - Santarém, 25 de Março de 1223), terceiro rei de Portugal, era filho do rei Sancho I de Portugal e da sua mulher, Dulce de Berenguer, mais conhecida como Dulce de Barcelona, infanta de Aragão. Afonso sucedeu ao seu pai em 1211.
