Mystery Date game. The winner at the end got to open the door to see her date. Got rid of this in 1994. Should have kept it.

My older cousin had this in their game closet and I would play it whenever I went over.

... sitting backwards in a station wagon and no seat belts.

Sitting backwards in the station wagon. Our station wagon was pink, and we called this seat the "Way Back". Best seat in the car! Mom and Dad couldn't see what we were doing, and we got to wave at all the cars!

Mystery Date; I loved playing this game but it seems like I always ended up with The Dud.

The game that taught girls you don't want the bum with no job! Yea, like we needed a board game to figure that out. I loved playing this with Joanie on our over-nights at her house :)

candy lipstick

I loved candy lipstick! Even though it didn't even taste all that good - it was just cool. I remember being devastated when I left my candy lipstick at the city pool when I was little.

Not only was it above the blackboard, but we spent time making a single letter on every line of our paper until it was perfect, and then we practiced more - it was called our "Penmanship" time.

Cursive writing guides above the chalkboard and pull-down maps in schools. I have the map now I just need the cursive guide!

Mousetrap, great game...

I remember trying to play "Mousetrap". By the time we had the board ready we didn't play the game, we just played with the marble that went down the chute.

1964 or '65 - Budding Beauty Vanity w/stool. This was one of my VERY FAVORITE Christmas presents from Santa EVER!!! I LOVED this and I have a photo with it on Christmas morning. One of the only Christmas photos of my childhood. Notice the styrofoam seat that open. It also came with a framed picture of a guy. lol.
