Spiced sloe gin from frozen sloes.  Sloes are a hedgerow fruit available from September.They are usually picked after the first frost, pricked, covered in sugar before placing a wide necked preserving jar and then covered in gin.Left for 3 months (the longer the better), the gin can be decanted.The berries then can be used in recipes.  This recipe uses sloes that have been frozen for a few months, defrosted and then used as above.
