A portrait of a Mother and her seven daughters don't often see people in these old photos that are beautiful by modern standards. These girls are unusually beautiful. Hard to guess which one is the mother.

This picture is amazing. I love the house and them being outside.  For SO SO many the "American Dream" was to own land...to have a home that truly belonged to them.   For us today, this house looks humble and run down...for THEM...it was a dream fulfilled...and was a mansion.

In homes with usually only one room, the box-bed allowed some privacy and helped keep people warm during winter. It was the main furniture of rural houses in Brittany until the 20th century.
