Vestes de influência Persa do reinado de Carlos II (Inglaterra). Numa tentativa de se libertar da moda francesa, adopta um vestuário "à moda persa". A túnica abotoada de cima a baixo, até aos joelhos escondendo parcialmente os calções, com as mangas da camisa interior evidenciadas, vai revolucionar a silhueta do vestuário masculino. Sobre esta era usado um casaco simples e solto. A túnica estreita e ajustada ao corpo vai dar lugar ao colete (vest) e o casaco ao "paletó".

Men's silk jacket, Enland, 1640-45. This waistcoat is made from pink satin hand-quilted in a diamond pattern. It is said to have been worn by Charles II, when Prince of Wales who left it behind, together with a nightcap and shoes, when he was staying with Sir Thomas Veel, at Alveston, Gloucestershire, in 1645. Charles was in charge of the Royalist forces fighting in the West Country at the time.
