Ephemicropolis 100,000 staples  Peter Root

Artist Peter Root fashioned an entire little city of staples – an ephemicropolis! Hard to believe he spent 40 hours building the installation in the lobby of a building, using solely stacks of staples that were split into various sizes.

Resonance is a kinetic installation made of light, movement and a mirrored body. 
Its ever-changing multiplexed pattern of movement is literally coded in hardware. 
The abstract, moving light architecture merges with, expands, and adds a new dynamic to the actual physical space.   The installation was exhibited first at Kunsten Museum in Aalborg, Denmark in 2010. In 2013 Resonance was shown at MADE, Berlin.   Music: Ólafur Arnalds
