Lomonosov Porcelain, St. Petersburg, Russia The Lomonosov Porcelain factory, founded in 1744 by Emperor Peter the Great, is one of the oldest and most famous manufactures in Russia. It is known world-wide for marvelous, high quality and unique products.

In Peter the Great's daughter Empress Elizabeth established the first porcelain factory in St. Lomonosov Imperial Porcelain, handpainted with gold, was used only by royalty. Cobalt net is the most famous pattern.
