The Livraria da Vila is the result of the refurbishment of a two-story house, built on a very narrow plot in São Paulo. From the start, it was clear to the architects that an open plan was needed, as to better arrange products and circulation.
We love everything about this window-filled corner, not to mention the view. The picture window maximizes the view, while the double-hungs give ventilation. We also love the low built-in book cases that have function as window seats.
UdK Bookshop 2010 by Dalia Butvidaite, Leonard Steidle and Johannes Drechsler This stepped cardboard installation was designed and built by Berlin University of Arts students to display their own work and meandered around a gallery at their summer show.
