Styrofoam, like the stuff from take away containers or from the grocery store, can be used to make your own stamps. (This site is in French. Vincent Van Gogh, Sorrow, lithography, 39.2 cm x 29.2 cm, The Hague, Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam (Vincent Van Gogh Foundation) November 1882 Sorrow is one of Van Gogh’s early masterpieces. The model behind the drawing was, Dutch prostitute, Sien Hoornik - the only women Van Gogh ever lived with. In the sketch, Sien looks rooted to the ground, a weed clinging to the earth for survival – perhaps a metaphor of her tenuous relationship with the sometime volatile artist.
