1958. A view of the Wibautstraat with tram line 5 in Amsterdam. The Wibautstraat is a major street in Amsterdam-Oost, between the Rhijnspoorplein and the Prins Bernhardplein near the Amstelstation. The street was named after the Amsterdam alderman Floor Wibaut. During the Nazi-occupation, because Wibaut was a Jew, the street was renamed to Weesperpoortstraat. 1956. A view of the crossing Rooseveltlaan and Waalstraat with tram line 4. The Rooseveltlaan is a street in the Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam-Zuid. The street is characterized by poplar trees on either side of the roadway. Since 1936 there is tram track in the middle of the two roadways. From 1922 - 1946 the street was called Zuider Amstellaan.
