The ring belonged to Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna, that was kept in the Swedish Embassy of Russia in 1918 and then sent to Sweden. Maria died in France in 1920 and did not manage to call for her treasuries. The jewelry was sent to the members of The Romanov family in 2009.
