Chetham's Library in Manchester is the oldest public library in the UK (1653) and an absolute gem! Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels studied here together in 1845 and it's still in use today.
My last day in Boston and as always I wish I could stay longer. There's so much I haven't seen and done yet. And after all the 'food exploring' () it's about time I do some proper sightseeing. Starting with walking the 'Freedom Trail'. With the elections around the corner what better time to learn more about US history?!
I had such a great evening meeting the amazing @kitandace team in their gorgeous pop-up store (seriously I want to move in) in Shoreditch and hearing Monocle's Nelly Gocheva's interesting view on luxury publishing.
This weekend was Open House London the perfect chance to explore those unique buildings that aren't always open to the public. This is the Durbar Court at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Doesn't it look amazing?
Got to meet some of the people behind one of my favorite brands - Aesop - today. Loved learning more about the history and philosophy of all these deliciously smelling products. And of course testing everything (except their post-poo drops ). I was already a fan of their travel kits but you should check out the new gift kits.
