Born in Transylvania, Melinda Matyas is a Hungarian painter living and working in Romania. Her inspiration is her own life. In her figurative works she emphasize the psychological meaning relating to the human subconscious. Her main theme is ‘the hidden’ and its condition, explored through art, thus her figurative works are nothing else, but an approach towards the self and its contemplation from outside.
