I remember getting told over and over to sit back because we were too close to the tv.

"don't sit so close to the tv, you'll ruin your eyes" - must have heard this one a thousand times. and then I had my right eye operated on, and then a patch oer my eye and still wanted to sit so close to the TV !

Summer vacations spent listening to the local country station on the old clock radio as I fell asleep - such fond memories <3

G&E alarm clock radio with flip numbers. I can still hear that click noise it made when the numbers flip.

Typing class in the 60's

Typing class in high school. The good old manual typewriter. We had 2 manual typewriters and the rest were electric. We had to see each day who was stuck with the manual ones.

pet turtles 1960's

Red ear slider pet turtles from Woolworth's Pet Department. Buying the plastic tank with the fake palm tree and the little diving board. My sister and I would watch these turtles for hours. Who knew back then that they carried salmonella. But we lived.

did this only once during lunchtime when the bell rang to call us back to class, faceplanted and ended up in the sickbay with blood nose lol - it was 1977

jumping out of swings. now there would be a lawsuit if some school let somebody's kid jump out of a swing. do they even have swingsets on playgrounds anymore. Do schools even have playgrounds anymore?
