This giant stove used to be at the foot of E Grand Blvd & Jefferson across from Belle Isle in Detroit, MI. It was later relocated on the Michigan State Fairgrounds facing Woodward Ave near State Fair St, between 7 and 8 Mile road, in Detroit.
Kresge's was a chain of dimestores in MI, and the forerunner of Kmart. I remember shopping with my Nana as the Battle Creek Kresge's. She'd give me a quarter and I'd have the greatest time picking out little 5 and dime toys.
