“Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment” ~ Claude Monet. Monet is my all-time favorite artist. I love his view of Impressionism and the way he painted it. I have the canvas, Woman With a Parasol, in my home.

LLUÏSA VIDAL i PUIG (Barcelona, Catalonia, 1876-1918) is known as the only professional women painter of Catalan modernism, and one of the few women of that period who went abroad to receive art lessons. She went to Paris to study, in 1901 at the age of 25. She returned to Barcelona in 1902 and joined the feminist movement. Vidal exhibited her work internationally and went on to become a renowned portraitist.
