The European goldfinch or goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis), is a small passerine bird in the finch family that is native to Europe, North Africa and western Asia. It has been introduced to other areas including Australia, New Zealand and Uruguay.
Lilac-Breasted Roller~This bird (and the other species of rollers) get their name from their impressive courtship flight, a fast, shallow dive from considerable elevation with a rolling or fast rocking motion, accompanied by loud raucous calls.
The Turquoise-Browed Motmot inhabits Central America from SE Mexico (mostly the Yucatán Peninsula) to Costa Rica, where it is common and not considered threatened. It has been chosen as the national bird of both El Salvador and Nicaragua.
