Children's author and illustrator Beatrix Potter at her Lake District Home, Hill Top. She broke away from her wealthy family as a single woman and pursued her creative dreams. She published Peter Rabbit in 1902 and went on to publish 23 stories. Later, she married and settled down into sheep farming. When she died, her land was given to the British National Trust.
