homemade reuse toys and games for babies and toddlers
What a clever idea - a colour hunt. To teach the children about colours you buy (or otherwise collect) a basket and then set off on a search for items of a predetermined colour. This has lots of scope - you could also select items of a particular shape or size. What fun. This also easily converts to a party game where items have been hidden in the garden.
We are always inspired to do fun crafts and learning activities whenever we read some of our favorite children's books! Here is a list of activities we've come up with inspired by popular children's books.
"Letter Finder" Hide letters in rice and let your little one find the buried letters!
Activity shelf- "Boat/Ocean" style
Montessori activity - hammer, golf tees, something to knock them into (I am thinking florists foam over polystyrene though...)
Exploring the paint brush
Painting with a toddler - this blog post resonates so strongly with me! It's amazing what I think Pax will do and what he actual does.
