Whitehead's Broadbill

The Whitehead's Broadbill (Calyptomena whiteheadi) is restricted to montane forest in northern Borneo. It is named after the British explorer John Whitehead who collected natural history specimens in Borneo and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

This Cedar Waxwing is so beautiful (Bombycilla Cedrorum). They are primarily frugivorous . . . a fruit eater! Most of its diet is made up of berries, especially in the winter. They will eat insects and sap when necessary. Cedar Waxwings are very social birds and can be seen grooming each other.

The Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum) is a member of the family Bombycillidae or waxwing family of passerine birds. It breeds in open wooded areas in North America, principally southern Canada and the northern United States.
