Akita - Hachi-Ko who accompanied his owner to the Shibuya train station each morning and awaited him each afternoon - even when his owner passed away.

Initial reaction at the station was generally unkind. As a stray, he survived off scraps but was seen as a nuisance until a news story featured him in 1932.
