All Forms of Art: It Follows

It Follows

I really enjoy watching horror movies, even when they’re not great, because you either get a good scare or a good laugh. I just like it. So, based on that facet of myself, I decided to watch this movie with my husband. I thought “Hm, this might not be great, but we’ll at least get a laugh!”. I didn’t laugh, at all. Quite the opposite! I’m not sure what I think of it as a movie, but it definitely got into my nerves. I jumped a couple of times and was pretty tense for most of it. So, it did a…

All Forms of Art: Bird Box

Bird Box

A post-apocalyptic scenario without zombies. Is that possible? Yes! And with quite an interesting result to be honest. Bird Box, with Sandra Bullock, brings us a new look upon this vastly explored scenario of an apocalyptic event. It wasn’t as scary as I read it would be, your heart will not race a lot, but it’s a pretty decent movie and a good time, definitely. It might seem a little slow in the beginning but as the story unfolds, it will most certainly catch and hold your attention until…

Big Hero 6

An animation movie usually tends to be a good time for all those involved, whether it’s just to relax a little or to enjoy some family time. I saw this particular film, Big Hero 6, just last Christmas and I must say, it was delightful. At first, I though it was some sort of robotics movie, which, in my mind, meant a silly little thing full of machines and unrealistic projects and gadgets, focused on making kids dream, but usually falling short of said goal and leaving them dumbed down or…

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle

I was a big fan of Disney’s cartoon version of this story. Said so, as soon as I watched the trailer on Netflix, I decided to watch the movie. It is a very different version, but I liked it. It’s intense, violent, dark and makes you sit in front of the screen for 2 hours without even think of it. Also, prepare yourself to hold your breath many times. The protagonist is a good actor. Acting and counter scene with something that is not really there, it’s never easy. I imagine that for a kid…
