This super detailed life-size sea turtle was inspired by an extraordinary experience I had with a Honu, or Green Sea Turtle, off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii! This young Honu swam right up to me, and looked me in the eyes. So gentle and curious, so innocent yet powerful- these animals deserve our protection!
