How to Make a Pebble Mosaic

"How to make a pebble mosaic," Excellent step-by-step instructions from "This Old House." I just need to sort our stones, get more stones, and layout the design. This would be a good project to start in September.

I absolutely love this log path.

Reuse an old tree to make a log pathway in your garden. Good use of "yard" trees and other wood that can't be milled; works much better in climates without termites. Good drainage under the log rounds will make the path last longer.

Mosaic rug

rugs - Honestly- I would really LOVE to be able to do this kind of work on a walkway in my backyard. It reminds me of a marble 'rug' I saw in the doorway of a candy shop in Turkey.

recycled concrete and bricks for around the fire pit

Any local friends looking to get rid of bricks or old stepping stones? I would love to do an artistic patio mosaic! My front yard has a stone garden wall made from an old building in Washington.

Sunken stone path - lovely effect from a distance. Wonder if lawn would get worn away in between. Would be nice leading up the hill to my garden spot.
