#Zulu weaver Nomkhosi Nkosi lives in the farmlands of Zululand, South Africa. She regularly sends #BasketsOfAfrica her beautiful Ukhamba baskets with traditional patterns and geometric designs. Many of her baskets feature asymmetrical designs, so the patterns are different on every side. Her creations are warm and elegant and beautiful.
This picture is from the Shaka Zulu series...Shaka Zulu supposedly introduced cowhide shields, which were much stronger than the iron or wood shields used previously.
