Prefere viver perto de água, em pântanos, florestas ou regiões que sejam frequentemente inundadas, onde caçam veados, tapires e também tartarugas, peixes ou rãs.  Apesar de ser muito parecido com o leopardo, é maior e com comportamento mais parecido com os tigres. O jaguar tem a mordida mais forte entre todos os felinos, capaz de perfurar carapaças de tartaruga e até couraças de crocodilos, que ocasionalmente caçam.

Check out this tiny frog, it’s smaller than a fingernail! The Gardiner’s tree frog is one of the smallest frogs in the world, growing to only 11mm in length! Unlike most frogs, the young do not hatch as tadpoles, but as fully formed small adult frogs. So the babies are even smaller versions of this little guy – how is that even possible?
