Beat Tag (Meter) | Music Game - http://makingmusicfun.net/htm/f_mmf_music_library/beat_tag.htm
Free rhythm bingo game from Teaching Children Music
Musical Yahtzee game. Looks like a lot of fun to do with a music class.
Foam domi-"notes"- would be fun with 2-4 different teams. each side must match the # of beats. tally beats at end to find out 2nd and 3rd places....
Sing or Dare: "Sing" cards like "sing [the song] while marching the beat" or "sing the song, but buzz all the words 'the'." "Dare" cards like "Name everyone in the room" or "Hug the teacher." (I think I might change the dares to musical things like "sightread a simple song" or "play the song on the xylophone."... Great for a positive reward!
Write music symbols on them.. bounce them to a child, have him/her say the symbol, the value, and count it out loud, and then have them bounce in back to you.. fun!
I Let Her Go Go - 3rd graders go nuts for this. I start with clapping your own hands twice before clapping your partner's hands twice.
Rhythm Game: "Busted!" Pull a stick from the jar, clap its rhythm. Pull another stick, clap both rhythms. Continue cumulatively. If you pull the "busted" stick, you have to put all yours back. Kid with most at the end wins.
Rhythm Game >>> over / under type of partner clap. Could be played as an elimination game.
