This week's comic is a gorgeously graphic take on the frozen Filipino treat halo halo, from Toronto-based art-comic creator Michael Deforge.

Halo Halo recipe  Ingredients        1/4 cup small pearl tapioca      1 cup berries      Crushed ice      1/4 cup condensed milk      1/2 cup coconut milk    Directions        Simmer tapioca in 1 qt. boiling water until almost translucent, 10 minutes. Let stand off heat 5 minutes. Drain and rinse. Divide berries and tapioca between 2 tall glasses; fill with crushed ice. Pour in both milks.
