interior designer Jessica Helgerson moved her family to a 540-square-foot cottage of her own design 15 minutes north of Portland, OR. By using mainly reclaimed materials to construct her miniscule maison, and by adding a moss-and-fern green roof, Helgerson completed the project for less than anticipated, and it requires little energy to heat and cool
This house is located in the dunes of Cabo Polonio on the eastern coast of Uruguay. It is small, fitting only two people. The materials used for building are very simple, like those of all the houses in Cabo Polonio.
The Miter Box tiny house. Love all the wood and stainless surfaces! Has lots of things I normally don't like, but in this situation it all works well. Normally hate achromatic color schemes, but in a small space it makes it feel more open. Also normally dislike darker wood stains, but against the white gives good contrast while making the colorless space feel more cozy.
