"Pauliteiros de Miranda" is the name given to groups of men dancing the traditional rhythms from Miranda, in northeastern Portugal, Tras-os-Montes. The name "pauliteiro" is derived from Paulito. Pauliteiros are the practitioners of war dance characteristic of the Lands of Miranda, called the dance of the sticks, representative of local historical moments accompanied with the sounds of the harmonica-of-pipe, box and drum and has the distinction of being danced by eight men.
