Santa Clara is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Coimbra. It has a population of 9637 and an area of km². It is an urban parish, in the city Coimbra, and on the south (left bank) of the Mondego river.
This Palace was formerly used as a home for the monarchs and nowadays it is where the Portuguese Presidents live. Inaugurated in This century construction is one of the most famous buildings in Portugal.
The former spa hotel was built in 1915 and is situated near the historic village of Sortelha, Portugal, a municipality of Sabugal which was known for its underground spring waters that were thought to have therapeutic effects.
