Hand Painted Chinoiserie Silk Panel or Border
A long decorative hand painted Chinoiserie panel or border with an attractive trellis pattern interlined with a flowering vine. Painted onto a heavy silk taffeta, in pale pastel colours. Probably French in origin and dating from the early to mid 19th century. In good antique condition, some fragility and splitting to the silk which would benefit with the addition of a backing to support the panel. Measurements: 219cm X 29cm
