Vitorino Nemésio (1901 - 1978) was novelist, poet, columnist, essayist, biographer, historian of literature and culture, journalist, researcher, epistolographer, philologist  and television communicator, in addition to all the activity of teaching. Camilo Ferreira Botelho Castelo Branco (1825 - 1890) was one of the most prolific writers of Portuguese literature and striking. Novelist, columnist, critic, playwright, historian, poet and translator, was also the first. Viscount de Correia Botelho, title granted by King D. Luís. His most important works were, Amor de Perdição, A Queda de um Anjo and The Crime do Padre Amaro.
